I-CON is the home to new Irish music on Phantom and broadcasts every Wednesday night from 10pm – 12pm. Presented and produced by Cathal Funge and co-produced by Lynn Cummins, the show continually strives to support the local Irish independent music scene.

Features on the show include The K9 Sessions, Album of the Month, The Listening Post (New Artist Profiles), The Set List and live studio sessions.

Album of the Month

This month's album comes from one of the main players from the Popical Island label, Groom. Having just released their fourth album 'Marriage', it continues on from the last album 'Natural History' with the running theme of life.
Produced by Stephen Shannon, the album combines their poppy melodies with mellow poetric lyrics.

Electric Penguins are back and will be joining Cathal in-studio tonight for a chat about their appearance at this week's Phantom First Friday and also what we're to expect from their second album 'II' which will be available for download at the end of this month and in shops from October 8th.

Tipp 4-piece Jefl & Hyde will be profiled in The Listening Post and Cathal will be announcing our new Album of the Month.
